Danica Patrick Races to Historic Win


USA Today, Monday, April 21, 2008 - Danica Patrick is used to the attention, she is a female driver competing in the male-dominated Indy Racing League, but the 26-year-old has finally taken her place in the victory lane. Patrick became the first woman to win a major-league Indy-car event with her victory at the Indy Japan 300 on Sunday. It was also the first time a woman won in a national oval-track touring circuit such as the IRL or NASCAR.
