Georgetown’s Impact on the World of Sports
With Aimee Mullins (F’98), athlete, actor and activist; John Thompson III, Georgetown's head men's basketball coach; Paul Tagliabue (C’62), former commissioner of the National Football League; and Tim Brosnan (C’80), executive vice president of business affairs for Major League Baseball.
Georgetown Athletics will present a panel discussion on Georgetown's profound impact on the world of sports. Moderated by Rich Battista (B’86), president of Fox National Cable Networks, the discussion will include the formation of character and leadership through the student-athlete experience; how intercollegiate athletics prepares students for future leadership roles; and how Georgetown’s undergraduate experience has prepared students to enter careers in professional sports.
